Place the branch or stem of the plant to be grafted into the cuttings holder. Press down firmly on the levers to cut. The cut should be large enough to completely separate the two pieces. Never tear off uncut bark.
Cut a graft with 1-2 buds from a part of the plant (scion) and insert it into the main part on the area that has just been cut to shape. The hollow part of the cut should always be on the host plant. The grafted scion should have a cut about 10 mm from the bud. Never tear off uncut bark.
After the two sections are tightly fitted, tie the graft with a strip of adhesive paper, Teflon, etc.
